Nimbus Web Studio · Jake Wolin · Last updated July 29, 2026

Nimbus Web Studio is a one-person web design studio run by Jake Wolin in the United States. This policy explains what information we collect, why, and what you can ask us to do about it. It is written plainly on purpose.

1. Information we collect

When you use the contact form. We receive the name, business name, email address, and message you type. Our server also records your IP address and the time of the submission, which we use to rate-limit the form and block abuse.

When you become a client. We receive the material you send us for your site — text, photos, business details — and any account access you choose to share with us so we can do the work.

When you pay. Payments are processed by Stripe. You enter your card details on Stripe's own checkout page, and we never receive or store your full card number. From Stripe we see the order, the amount, and the name and email attached to the payment.

Business contact details from public sources. To find businesses that might want a website, we compile publicly listed business information — business name, phone number, address, website, and any publicly listed email — from public directories and business listings. This is business contact information, not personal consumer data, and we do not buy consumer data.

2. What we don't do

This site runs no third-party analytics, no advertising trackers, and no advertising pixels, and it sets no tracking cookies. We do not sell, rent, or trade your information to anyone.

3. How we use it

To reply to you, quote your project, build and deliver your website, take payment for it, and keep the records a business is expected to keep for tax and dispute purposes. We also use it to contact businesses about our services, as described in section 5.

4. Who we share it with

Only the services we need to operate: Stripe for payments, Google for sending and receiving our email, and the provider hosting our server. Each handles your information under its own privacy terms. We will also disclose information if the law requires it.

5. Marketing email, and how to stop it

We contact businesses by email about our web design services. Every message identifies who we are and how to opt out. If you reply "no thanks," "stop," or anything to that effect, you are removed immediately and added to a suppression list so that you are not contacted again. You can also opt out at any time by emailing jake@nimbuswebstudio.com.

6. How long we keep it

We keep correspondence and project records while we are working together and afterwards for as long as we need them for tax, accounting, and dispute purposes. Contact form submissions are kept in our email and in a log on our server. The suppression list is kept indefinitely on purpose — it is the record that stops us contacting you again.

7. Your choices

Email jake@nimbuswebstudio.com and you can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. We will do it. Depending on where you live you may have these rights by law; we extend them to everyone who asks. One deliberate exception: if you have opted out of our email, we keep your address on the suppression list even after a deletion request, because deleting it is what would let us contact you again by mistake.

8. Security

The site and our forms are served over HTTPS, payment details go directly to Stripe and never touch our server, and access to our systems is limited to Jake. No system is perfectly secure, and we will not pretend otherwise — but we do not hold card numbers, and that is the information most worth protecting.

9. Children

Our services are sold to businesses and are not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.

10. Changes to this policy

If this policy changes we will post the new version on this page and update the date at the top.

11. Contact

Questions about privacy, or a request under section 7: email jake@nimbuswebstudio.com. We read everything and respond quickly.
